To share the gifts of comedy, poetry and music as presented by our ensemble of seasoned citizens. It is our sincere hope that audiences will be delighted and inspired by what they see and hear.
We are a group of retirees who came together to present a play in 2017, we have been together ever since. The AIJAN comes from the title of our first play AGE IS JUST A NUMBER. Throughout the pandemic we used a conference line to rehearse, pray and share many laugh filled moments. Those telephone rehearsals became a bright spot in our week during a very challenging time.
Our members hail from Chicago, Floria, Georgia, Detroit, North Carolina and South Carolina. The city of Atlanta brought us together. We all the view that “age is just a number” and that number has few limitations. God has blessed us with longevity and we hope to do all that we can do for as long as we can.
With little to no stage experience the challenge for us was to use this wonderful form of artistic expression to share humor, love and hopefully inspiration.
In April 2023 we presented our second play NOT TRYIN’ TO BE FUNNY. The play was so successful audience members have been asking for more. We plan to do more. In addition to our original plays we have done a number of poetry presentations and music performances for Black History Month, Juneteenth Celebrations, Parties, Anniversaries and Summer Outdoor events.
